The Rip City Baseball Training Center
is a State of the Art Indoor Training Facility at 400 Riverland Rd. in Salem,
Virginia. It was opened by former pro
Dave
Christianson (San Diego Padres, Detroit Tigers). Since opening in 1997,
our Training Programs have helped thousands of
players develop the skills needed to play Little League,
High School, College and even Professional Baseball.
Ladies Fast-Pitch Softball Training
is also a big part of Rip City. Former Virginia Tech
and current Salem High School coach
Ron Reynolds has been the Softball director since
opening in 1997. Ron has been recognized for developing
thousands of young ladies with softball skills and has had
many of his players go on to play college softball.
Since moving to our new location, we have added
Matt Otey as our Strength and
Conditioning Trainer. Baseball and Softball players
need very specific Strength, Flexibility, Agility, Balance,
and Coordination to compete at the highest level.
Matt's Intense and Fun approach to getting players in shape
makes him one of our most popular coaches.
We also have Sports Massage available by appointment here at
Rip City. Tammy Duncan is
our Certified Massage Therapist. She is registered
with the Virginia State Board of Nursing. Tammy does
Sports Massage as well as various other massage therapies.
Camps as well as Individual Lessons are available year round
for players of all ages. Individual Lessons are by
appointment and Camp Registration can be done over the
telephone using a credit card.
